Welcome to Pleasant Lake Elementary!  Our entire school community is excited to have you visit.  Today we are celebrating our children and what they do to make Pleasant Lake Elementary a special school community.  Our student created school-wide theme this year, “Join Hands to Lead and Succeed” will be on display throughout your visit today.

At Pleasant Lake Elementary, The Leader in Me is embedded in everything we do. The Leader in Me provides our children with solid principles and skills to be successful beyond the school day and well into their future!

What you observe today is not something that will disappear once you leave our school.  The Leader in Me is truly who we are, and it is what guides us.  Below you will find some of our Points of Pride:

  • Being selected as a tour stop for The Leader in Me Symposium several years in a row
  • A supportive and actively involved PTA
  • Significant and consistent parent support through weekly classroom helpers, literacy volunteers, PTA and Motor Moms & Dads’ Program
  • Staff and student-driven community service initiatives in a variety of charitable events including Annual Staff Charity Volleyball Game, Jump Rope for Heart, Clothing Donations, Shoes to Share Drive, Children’s Hospital Toy Drive and several additional charity drives.
  • Every teacher serves on multiple schools and event committees
  • Annual college scholarship supported by staff to be awarded to former Pleasant Lake students
  • Our School Store, The Shark’s Den
  • Leader in Me Crew Lessons – mentoring meetings designed to support all students in The Leader in Me process
  • An incredibly dedicated, professional teaching staff committed to meeting the needs of all Pleasant Lake students
